Secure Act 2.0 2022 Means Changes for Retirement Plans

Updated: Dec 30, 2022

On December 29, 2022, Biden signed the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022 to be signed into law. Secure 2.0 contains sweeping changes which will have broad impacts on all types of retirement savings in 2023 and the years ahead. Some of these include increased age for RMDs, Emergency Expense Distributions, and mandated automatic enrollment in retirement plans, just to name a few.

Boutwell Fay, LLP will host a series of webinars and post updates as these changes are implemented.

Our first webinar Secure 2.0 for 401(k) and 403(b) Plans: What Employers (and Their Advisors) Need to Know Now, will be held on January 19, from 10am - 11am PT, with Sherrie Boutwell and Evan Giller presenting. Click the button below to register.
